The entire community is welcome at Lake Tahoe Community College on Friday, Oct. 7. South Shore locals and visitors are invited to the LTCC campus for several fun and free family-friendly events.

It’s Fan Appreciation Day out on LTCC’s brand new soccer field, where the Coyote women’s and men’s soccer teams will face off against conference rivals Lassen Community College at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. Snacks, beverages, fun games, prizes and free Coyote swag await all fans who attend, so come out and see LTCC’s world-class new field and cheer on the LTCC Coyotes to victory!

If you haven’t checked out LTCC’s new soccer field, now is your chance — it’s the premier field in all of California and catching a lot of attention from sports facilities around the Western United States. Come see for yourself.

After the games, head next door to the physical education building’s gymnasium, where all are welcome to a Latino Heritage Celebration from 6-8 p.m. Enjoy authentic food, live mariachi music, a bouncy house for the kids and much more!

For more information about these free community events at LTCC, please contact LTCC marketing and communications director Diane Lewis at 530-541-4660, ext. 716, or send an email to
