The Lake Tahoe Community College music department will host a benefit concert on Wednesday, Dec. 14, to support fellow student Angie Peart, who has been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer since 2015.

Peart is a repeat student of Eric Hellberg’s rock ensemble classes, which will perform classic rock ‘n’ roll, gospel, country and heavy metal hits beginning at 7 p.m. in the Duke Theatre to raise money for the Angie Peart Cancer Fund. Peart is the wife of LTCC reprographics and phone operator Bob Peart.

Everyone is welcome to attend the concert, and tickets are available at the door for a suggested $10 donation. All proceeds will go toward helping the Pearts cover medical and hospital travel costs, in addition to the LTCC music department.

Unable to attend the concert, but still wish to donate? Contact LTCC Foundation executive director Nancy Harrison at 530-541-4660, ext. 245, or via email at harrison@ltcc.edu.

Learn more about the benefit concert and rock ensemble classes by emailing instructor Hellberg at hellberg@ltcc.edu, or on Facebook.
