UPDATE: Douglas County schools, Lake Tahoe Community College and Sierra Nevada College closed due to snow

Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village is closed Monday due to an ongoing winter storm.

UPDATE

All Lake Tahoe schools in Douglas County are closed Monday, as is Lake Tahoe Community College.

They join Lake Tahoe Unified School District on South Shore and Washoe County School District schools in Incline Village, the latter of which is observing a digital day.

Schools at Lake Tahoe are not waiting to see what conditions look like Monday morning.



Lake Tahoe Unified School District has canceled classes for all schools Monday, Feb. 4. The district cited blizzard conditions in the forecast for Monday.

Washoe County School District has enacted a digital day for all Incline Village schools.

Digital days replace snow days at Incline Village schools; LTUSD hopes to launch pilot program for 2019-20

The National Weather Service has a winter storm warning in effect until 4 p.m. Tuesday. Lake Tahoe could see several more feet of snow.
