Mail ballots out for delivery

The El Dorado County Elections Department Registrar of Voters sent out vote-by-mail ballots on Monday for the June 3 primary election.

The last day to register to vote is May 19. If you have moved within the county, or have just moved into the county you will need to register with your new address by May 19.

The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot is May 27.

On Tuesday, June 3 (election day), the office at 2850 Fairlane Court will be open at 7 a.m. and the public is invited to view the election process. On Wednesday, June 4, the Official Canvass of votes will be conducted starting at 9 a.m. and continuing during normal working hours until finished.

The Recorder-Clerk’s Office, at 3368 Lake Tahoe Blvd., serves as an Election Department satellite office for South Lake Tahoe residents.

Voters may deposit their vote-by-ballot 24 hours a day in the ballot drop box located in the Building C parking lot at 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville. Vote-by-mail ballots may also be turned in at any polling place in El Dorado County on Election Day up until the polls close at 8 p.m.
