Main Street Gardnerville hosts Labyrinth Walk

Main Street Gardnerville hosts its first New Year’s Eve Candlelight Labyrinth Walk on Wednesday.

Luminaries will light the way as the organization starts a new tradition 6 and 9 p.m. at Heritage Park in Gardnerville.

“Walk out the Old and Welcome in the New Year” during this family-friendly event on New Year’s Eve.

Light refreshments will be available, including hot chocolate from Starbucks.

Organizer Paula Lockridge said labyrinths are used throughout the world as a way to quiet the mind, recover a balance in life, to meditate, gain insight, reduce stress, to create and celebrate.

The Labyrinth, located at Heritage Park Gardens, at 1461 Ezell St., is a project of Main Street Gardnerville in cooperation with the Town of Gardnerville.
