Noah Daniel Valdez Garcia was born Dec. 26 to Jose Valdez Molina and Karen Tapia Garcia of South Lake Tahoe.

NATIONAL WINTER TRAILS DAY

Celebrate Winter Trails by participating in a free, guided snowshoe hike in Van Sickle Bi State Park on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will learn about Lake Tahoe’s pristine environment while experiencing the enjoyment of snowshoeing. Meet at Explore Tahoe located at 4114 Lake Tahoe Blvd., at the Heavenly Village at 10 a.m. Space is limited and reservations are recommended.
