CASINO JOB FAIR
Looking for a seasonal job at a Stateline casino? Harrah’s and Harveys resort casinos are gearing up for the busy winter season just ahead and are holding a job fair on Thursday, Oct. 13, from noon to 4 p.m. Fun, friendly people are wanted to join the team.
Both Harrah’s and Harveys are hiring team members for the following year-round positions: cooks, kitchen stewards, beverage servers, front desk receptionists, security officers, food servers, wardrobe clerks, retail clerks and baristas. Additional positions are also available.
Harrah’s and Harveys are Lake Tahoe leaders in casino entertainment, offering benefits to team members which include access to a cafeteria, wellness center, a 24-hour gym, healthcare benefits for full-time employees, vacation/holiday pay and much more.
Job fair attendees also have the opportunity to win gifts by spinning a special prize wheel. The major hiring event is held at the Harveys bus reception lobby, located adjacent to the employment office at the rear, southwest hotel entrance.

SOUTH SHORE NETWORKING MIXER
TRYP will host its October South Shore Networking Mixer on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 6-9 p.m. at The Hard Rock Cafe, located inside Harveys at Stateline. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink in honor of the Hard Rock Cafe’s Pinktoberfest celebrations. One free drink and complimentary appetizers will be provided for attendees. Attendance is free for members and $10 for non-members.
CONNECT FOR A CAUSE: SIERRA VISION AWARDS MIXER
The Sierra Business Council (SBC) and the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce (Tahoe Chamber) are pleased to announce the next Chamber Connect for a Cause evening with the Sierra Vision Awards Mixer on Thursday, Oct. 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tahoe Mountain Lab. This ongoing Chamber series is designed to partner with community organizations and connect members to important local issues.
The SBC Sierra Vision Awards recognize and honor leadership in diversifying and reinvigorating the local economies, communities, and unique environment of the Sierra Nevada. The Tahoe Mountain Lab is being recognized with a Vision Award for its innovation in designing an entrepreneurial ecosystem that promotes the expansion of opportunities within our local economy. Mixer attendees will get to know Tahoe Mountains Lab’s founders, Cristi and Bernard Creegan, Jamie and David Orr, while enjoying drinks and appetizers.
This event will showcase the Tahoe Mountain Lab, which is South Lake Tahoe’s first co-working space. This facility offers a mix of shared open-concept desks and private office space for the purpose of bringing together freelancers, entrepreneurs, and remote workers in a productive and collaborative environment. “The benefit of working in this type of environment is having the opportunity to create connections that lead to meaningful professional relationships,” said co-founder Cristi Creegan.
