Paint Tahoe Blue event Sunday

The Toiyabe Chapter of Sierra Club holds Paint Tahoe Blue, a plein-air painting event and auction, this Sunday at Sand Harbor State Park.

The event raises money to help the club’s efforts to protect and preserve Lake Tahoe.

“What better way to raise these funds than imitating this beautiful national treasure in art?” the group said.

Erik Holland, a Reno-based artist, has assembled an array of painters skilled in the plein-air format for this event, which runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 15. The auction starts at 7 p.m.
