Pet of the Week: “Violet”

Violet is about to complete one full year living in a cage. She spent six months in an adoption center at a large pet supply store. In January she was transferred to the Tahoe shelter. It’s time to free Violet. Just 5 years old, she is a love bug, but does need to be the only pet in her new home. Overweight from confinement and lack of exercise, Violet will slim down quickly once she is uncaged. To free Violet, call El Dorado County Animal Services at 530-573-7925. For spay-neuter assistance and other support, call the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at 530-542-2857.
