Restaurant Week returns to Tahoe

Diners looking for a taste of Lake Tahoe this week have the chance to try a variety of specially priced and prix fixe menus on the South Shore, as Tahoe South Restaurant Week returns after a strong first-year response.

More than two dozen restaurants are participating in this year’s event, offering their favorite foods and distinctive dishes in a rare culinary experience from Jan. 9-16.

No passes, tickets or coupons are necessary to order off Restaurant Week menus. All guests need to do is visit a participating restaurant and look for the special menu.

Restaurant Week is held in conjunction with Visit California’s California Restaurant Month. It is designed to showcase the “stellar chefs and outstanding restaurants” in South Lake Tahoe, according to a press release.

The Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority sponsors the local event.

South Shore’s participating restaurants include Artemis Lakefront Café, Beacon Bar & Grill at Camp Richardson, Blue Angel Café, Chart House, Ciera Steak + Chophouse, Cold Water Brewery, ECHO Restaurant, Edgewood Tahoe, FiRE+iCE, Friday’s Station, Getaway Café, Gunbarrel Tavern and Eatery, Hungry Bear Restaurant, Jimmy’s at the Landing, Kalani’s, MacDuff’s Pub, Passaretti’s Restaurant, Primo’s Italian Bistro, Riva Grill, The Fresh Ketch, The Naked Fish, The Timbers, Toast Tahoe and Vinny’s Pizza & Pasta.
