Rude Brothers to stay open another month at current location (updated)

Rude Brothers, a longtime South Lake Tahoe business, will stay open an extra month at its current location, according to a Facebook post. It announced last month that it would close its doors on Harrison Avenue at the end of March. Owners are currently seeking a new location to set up shop.

Rude Brothers Bagels and Coffee will remain open at its current location on Harrison Avenue in South Lake Tahoe for another month, at least until the end of April.

A recent Facebook post made the extended stay official: “Come see us and get some bagels!!”

This comes on the heels of another recently announcement — that the longtime South Shore staple would be closing at the end of March after two decades of business at 3117 Harrison Ave. The building recently sold and is set to undergo substantial renovations.

Jim and Lisa Gosh, Rude Brothers owners, are still seeking a new location with a kitchen large enough to accommodate commercial-sized ovens.

Rude Brothers’ new hours are 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. until further notice.
