Sheriff substation opening in Georgetown

Tribune staff report

El Dorado County Sheriff John D’Agostini said a new sheriff’s substation office will open in Georgetown on Monday.

The decision to open the substation in Georgetown stems from community members asking for an increased presence of deputies and a central law enforcement location for area residents.

The substation is located 6101 Front Street, Suite 4. It will be staffed by the sheriff’s Senior Team of Active volunteers from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Deputies will stop by the substation periodically and be available for contact when they are there.
