Small fire burns near airport in South Lake Tahoe

A small fire burned .18 acres of land near the Lake Tahoe Airport on Wednesday, according to U.S. Forest Service.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s officer reported seeing smoke at 2:11 p.m., and all fire agencies responded.

Firefighters were still at the scene as of 4 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
