South Shore’s Coachman Hotel reopened earlier this year after an extensive renovation; the establishment was officially welcomed, however, to the Tahoe Chamber and South Shore community at its ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Along with members of the community, hotel and chamber staff celebrated the opening with a gathering in the hotel’s main courtyard, which features a bar close at hand accessible to guests and the public.

The recent remodeling has certainly received much attention. In an article from mid-September, Vogue placed Coachman fifth on its top nine “Most Instagrammable New Hotels Around the World,” noting the getaway’s pristine location, handcrafted furniture, body care products, linens and more.

“An indoor common area and bar creates a lively atmosphere, and the outdoor fire pits serve as the perfect place to roast evening s’mores,” states the article, which also featured hotels from Spain, Australia and Nicaragua.

The newly renovated Coachman pays homage to its original creation in the 1960s with a rustic Tahoe vibe inspired by communal ski lodges.
