It’s no secret Lake Tahoe is a scenic place — now, a South Shore campus has been recognized for its beauty. On Sept. 13, Aceable, an online driver’s education company, released an article that named South Tahoe High School as the No. 7 most beautiful high school campus in California.
“Renovated in 2013, South Tahoe High School is an open-air campus that encircles brand-new facilities, including a student union, stadium and building for the arts with a 300-seat theatre,” states Aceable.
STHS beat out 33 campuses from San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and more iconic mountain and coastal cities for a spot on the top-40 list.
“I think we’re all fortunate to get to come to this campus and we’re fortunate that the community and administration in the past put the time and energy and the forethought into building this campus. It’s something our community can be proud of,” STHS principal Chad Houck said.
