Spring into Summer is Saturday

South Lake Tahoe Recreation Division’s Spring into Summer celebration on Saturday will highlight programs offered throughout the summer.

The South Lake Tahoe Recreation Division is gearing up for another summer season full of adventure, learning, fun and great memories. The staff is will host the second annual Spring into Summer kick-off party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event is designed to highlight summer programs, introduce recreation instructors and provide tours of South Lake Tahoe Recreation Complex in a fun and festive environment.

The celebration offers refreshments, music and games. STAR Camp leaders will be on hand to meet prospective campers and parents as well as provide details about the many adventures campers will experience this summer such as ropes course, waterskiing and wake boarding, BMX, hiking, skateboarding, laser tag, Wild Island and more.

Water safety instructors will meet and greet parents and provide information about swim classes for all ages. A variety of aquatics classes are available, including water exercise, Yo-Pi-Chi, and Introduction to Improved Swim Technique for Adults. Tahoe Swim Club coaches will provide information on youth competitive swimming and training programs.

Martial arts, Zumba, and Jazzercise instructors will join the festivities and provide demonstrations throughout the day as well as introductory offers for first time participants.
