Tahoe Chamber announces Blue Ribbon Award winners

TahoeChamber announced the 2013 Blue Ribbon Award winners Thursday during a ceremony at Blu Nightclub.

More than 175 nominations were received this year, according to TahoeChamber. Winners will receive recognition on and special signage for their place of business. The customer service award winners receive a special “stay-cation” package of their choosing. The winners are as follows:

The Experience Award

Winner: Lake Tahoe Yoga

Honorable Mention: Ciera Steak & Chophouse

Tourism Award

Winner: Bike the West

Honorable Mention: Edgewood Tahoe

Geotourism Award

Winner: Tahoe Area Mountain Bike Association

Honorable Mention: Lake of the Sky Outfitters

Entrepreneur Award

Winner: Tahoe Sports Entertainment

Honorable Mention: The Divided Sky

Customer Service Award

Winner: Luke Bronken, Lakeside Inn & Casino

Honorable Mention: Elfie Klementi, Harrah’s & Harveys Lake Tahoe

Public Agency Service

Winner: Leah Brown, Child Protective Services

Honorable Mention: Debbie Beam, Douglas County Manager’s Office

Large Green Business

Winner: Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort

Honorable Mention: Zephyr Cove Resort

The Wendell Award for a Small Green Business

Winner: Tahoe Beach & Ski Club
