Kudos: Donation to Bread & Broth by Vail Resorts CEO helps disadvantaged students

This June Bread & Broth 4 Kids received a $125,000 donations from Vail Resorts CEO Rob Katz and his wife Elana Amsterdam, allowing the program to continue providing disadvantaged students with food during the summer break. For the past two years, the B&B 4 Kids program has been providing Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) K-8 students who struggle with hunger, seven meals and four snacks every week throughout the school year. To date, the Summer B&B 4 Kids Program has given away healthful meals to over 700 South Lake Tahoe children. This past weekend one Bay Area family volunteered with B&B during their vacation. Norman Harris, Marlene Common and Zachary Common along with friend Devin Smith spent time preparing the meals at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
