Update: Missing South Tahoe woman found safe

Update: Ruth Anne Scudder returned home.

South Lake Tahoe Police said Friday they are searching for Ruth Anne Scudder, who disappeared Tuesday morning after leaving her home on Lakeview Avenue.

Scudder is described as a white, adult female, 5 feet 4 inches tall with blonde hair and green eyes, weighing about 135 pounds.

Scudder has moderate mental retardation that may affect her judgment and speaks slowly. She frequently uses BlueGo services for transportation, police said.

Anyone who sees Scudder is asked to call South Lake Tahoe Police at 530-542-6100.
