Rapper Vanilla Ice, born Robert Matthew Van Winkle, is best known for his hit song “Ice Ice Baby.” The first hip-hop song to top the Billboard charts, “Ice Ice Baby” was initially released as a B-side to the singer’s cover of “Play That Funky Music” before gaining massive radio popularity worldwide.
Vanilla Ice will perform at Peek Nightclub Saturday, May 25.
New Jersey hip-hop trio Naughty By Nature, the act that gave the world “O.P.P.,” rounds out the weekend. The group has numerous hit records, including their self-titled second album, “19 Naughty III” and “Poverty’s Paradise,” which won a Grammy in 1996. Since their golden years in the mid-1990s, the group has kept up its collaboration with other artists and has continued to play live shows. They perform at Peek Nightclub May 26.
