Winter’s last laugh?

The Sarmiento family plays in the snow Tuesday near Lakeside Boulevard. They were visiting South Lake Tahoe from Livermore, Calif., and said they were surprised to find snow instead of sunshine. A late season storm dumped several inches of snow on the South Shore and more than 8 inches of snow at Dagget Summit early Tuesday morning.

The Sarmiento family plays in the snow Tuesday near Lakeside Boulevard. They were visiting South Lake Tahoe from Livermore, Calif., and said they were surprised to find snow instead of sunshine. A late season storm dumped several inches of snow on the South Shore and more than 8 inches of snow at Daggett Summit early Tuesday morning. The weather was supposed to improve by Memorial Day weekend.
