Locals’ community spirit recognized at award party
The Tahoe Daily Tribune recently recognized people of the South Lake Tahoe community for their many contributions and services.
These individuals were honored in the 26-page annual edition as true pioneers of the local spirit.
They are neighbors, co-workers and friends and are a reflection of all that is good in people – they are the heart of the community.
A nomination ballot was printed in the Tribune and members of the community sent in their suggestions for people to be included in the annual edition.
The final selections were made by Tribune advertising staff. Each of the winners was interviewed and their stories were published in the magazine.
The winners, who were hosted to a recent recognition party, are Valerie Rudd, Marcelle Linkous, Sue Davis, Maureen Kirkland, Jon Helman, JoAnn and Chuck Day, James Miles Rosas, Ken Morgan, Brad Lipovsky, Shannon Roberts and Margaret Grodzik.
During the recognition event, Tahoe Daily Tribune Publisher Paul Middlebrook introduced each of the winners, talked about their contributions to the community and presented the winners with awards.
