Lodging Associationt to address lake clarity

Staff Reports

The clarity of Lake Tahoe will be the topic of the March meeting of the South Lake Tahoe Lodging Association.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Forest Inn, which is on the corner of Lake Parkway and Park Avenue.

Dr. Charles Goldman, with the University of California Davis Tahoe Research Group, will discuss his research findings on the declining clarity of Lake Tahoe and what needs to be done to reverse the trend.

Also on the agenda is a report on efforts to bring scheduled commercial air service back to the Lake Tahoe Airport and to enhance the existing general aviation business.

For more information call the association Secretary/treasurer Jim Beattie at (530) 541-2595.
