Lorraine ‘Lonnie’ Mirto
Lorraine (Lonnie) M. Mirto passed away on Sept. 23, 2006, at home in Kingman, Ariz., with her family at her side, ending her battle with cancer. Lorraine was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Nov. 28, 1928. As a young woman she moved to Mountain View, Calif., and met her soul mate and loving husband, Sam Mirto. They raised their family and then moved to South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and lived there from 1967 until 1977.
Lonnie spent 22 happy years in Gardnerville, Nev., before moving to La Quinta, Calif., and finally Kingman, Ariz.
Lonnie was warm, caring, fun, loving and devoted to her family and friends. Lonnie was an artist and showered her family and friends with watercolors, oil paintings and painted woodcraft decorations for every holiday.
Lonnie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Sam Mirto, daughters Debbie Colombo and husband Tony, Vickie Arnerich, sons Larry Robinson and wife Toya Renee, Tom Robinson and wife Debbie, John Mirto and wife Stefana, brother John Raabe and wife JoBeth and four grandchildren, John and Jennifer Colombo, Krystal and Josh Mirto, Katie Arnerich and many nieces, nephews and extended family and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville, Nev., followed by inurnment at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden, Nev.
