Registration for high school students new to the Lake Tahoe Unified School District will be Aug. 25-27.

There will be no access to South Tahoe High School until Aug. 31 because of construction.

Registration is 9-11:30 a.m. at Mt. Tallac Continuation School. Students wishing to register must have an appointment and be accompanied by a parent. An appointment may be arranged by calling the high school counseling office. Call Joan Buscher at 543-2255 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

To access the school site, use the 13th Street entrance and park in the Mt. Tallac parking lot. There is no access to the campus beyond the parking lot. For information, call Mt. Tallac at 543-2267.

Students need to bring transcripts from the last school attended or the last report card received. California state law requires that students new to the district have a copy of their immunization records to register. The state also requires a student who has not attended a California school in the past to have a varicella immunization, or provide proof that the student has had the chicken pox.

Orientation for ninth graders and high school students new to the district will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 3 in the Little Theatre at STHS.
