LTVA looks to approve marketing plan Friday

Sally J. Taylor

The Community Marketing Plan 1998-2000 is expected to get a final look and approval on Friday during the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority Board of Directors meeting.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. at Lakeland Village, Sugar Pine Room.

The marketing plan is an extension of the plan developed late last year to boost Northern California promotions, leverage Southern California promotions with more cooperative advertising and create the new Labor Day Lake Tahoe three-day holiday event.

Also on the agenda is an update from Tahoe Regional Planning Agency officials on the study to find a local source of revenue for environmental improvements. The TRPA helped fund the study.

The board will also consider additional funds to improve Lake Tahoe’s Internet visibility and hear updates on various LTVA activities.

For more information, call the LTVA office at (530) 544-5050.
