Mammovan to appear at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe

The Mammovan will park at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe on Tuesday, Aug. 21 to provide mammograms to women in the community.

The Mammovan will offer services from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Most insurances are accepted, according to a press release. Insured patients must be 40 years old or older and have not had a mammogram within a year. Covered dependents will be eligible and a co-pay will be due at the time of the mammogram. Uninsured women are asked to bring proof of income, proof of address and proof of dependents to determine whether they are eligible for a free mammogram. Uninsured patients must be 40 years old or older for a screening mammogram, have not had a mammogram within 12 months and will need to apply for a sliding scale.
