Man airlifted after crashing go-cart

A 40-year-old man was flown by CALSTAR to Reno’s Renown Medical Center on Friday after he crashed a go-cart his was riding in.

The man was conscious and alert but had severe injuries to his arm, according to a South Lake Tahoe firefighter. Apparently the man was riding the cart and it flipped over on him and he became entangled in it, the firefighter said.

The accident happened on Paradise Avenue.

The man’s condition was unavailable on Sunday.
