SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people on suspicion of methamphetamine possession following a Sunday traffic stop on Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

About 1:45 a.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle near Park Avenue for driving too fast for the icy conditions, said Lt. Les Lovell.

During the stop, the passenger of the vehicle, a 38-year-old man from Oakland, Calif., allegedly placed less than a gram of methamphetamine into a glove and dropped it out the window, Lovell said.

Both the passenger and the driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old woman also from Oakland, were booked into El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance and misdemeanor warrants, Lovell said.
