Man flown to Reno following auto crash

A South Lake Tahoe man was flown to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno following a single vehicle rollover crash near the intersection of Fremont Avenue and Lake Tahoe Boulevard about 5 p.m. Saturday.

The man was traveling westbound on Highway 50 in a white Nissan sport utility vehicle at an unknown speed at the time of the crash, said South Lake Tahoe police Lt. David Stevenson.

The man suffered lacerations to his face and shoulders.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash, Stevenson said.

It’s unclear if the man was wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Stevenson said.
