Man is booked after fight at casino

William Ferchland

A 31-year-old Reno man bled heavily from his face after being struck by a Corona beer bottle from another man three feet away inside MontBleu casino, a Douglas County sheriff’s deputy reported.

The man denied summoning an ambulance, saying he would seek medical help on his own for cuts on his face. The 23-year-old South Lake Tahoe man accused of attacking the Reno man denied using a beer bottle to inflict damage he said was caused by his fists, the deputy reported.

The fight broke out early Sunday morning in a line in front of a men’s bathroom in Opal.

The South Lake Tahoe man was arrested on suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon and booked into Douglas County Jail at $25,000 bail.

The woman reported the oddities May 27. A broken rear window was the suspected point of entry.
