SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – A 56-year-old Gardnerville man was killed Tuesday night following a single vehicle accident on Kingsbury Grade.

The man was driving a Chevrolet Blazer pulling a small trailer when he left State Route 207 near Foothill Road and traveled down an embankment, said Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Chuck Allen in a statement.

“The lone driver was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene,” Allen said. “The vehicle and trailer traveled into a barn adjacent to the roadway and caught fire.”

It’s unknown if there was any animals or equipment in the barn at the time of the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The name of the man has not been released.
