Man killed in motorcycle crash

Merry Thomas

A 60-year-old Incline Village man was killed Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle on the Mount Rose Highway.

Hans Bentley failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and went off the road to his right, according to a report from Sgt. Ron Larson with the Nevada Highway Patrol’s Reno office. The motorcycle crossed the paved shoulder and continued onto the dirt before striking a metal road marker and then a dirt embankment. The motorcycle came to rest on its left side facing southeast on the north side of State Route 431.

Bentley was pronounced dead at 7:53 p.m. by paramedics at the accident scene.
