Markleeville library holds rummage sale

Friends of the Library in Markleeville, Calif., invite the public to bring books, clothing, small appliances and other “valuables” to the library, 270 Laramie St., in anticipation of a fund-raising rummage sale. The sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 18 in the library parking lot.

Contributions are welcome during library business hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Contributors are asked to report to the librarian or her assistants before unloading large or heavy items. Large appliances should be delivered on the day of the rummage sale.
