Martin Joseph Kaelin

Funeral services will take place Wednesday for Martin Joseph Kaelin, who passed away July 3, 2007, in Old Town, Idaho.

Martin was born Feb. 27, 1959, in Tracy, Calif., to Joseph and Thildy Kaelin. He moved to Tahoe in 1959, shortly after his birth, where he spent most of his life. Martin loved being outdoors. He loved skiing and hiked every mountain in his path. But, nothing made him happier and prouder than his two beautiful daughters. His family and friends will remember his fun-loving and exuberant spirit.

He is survived by his daughters, Raquel and Vanessa, and their mother, Paula, of Newport Wash.; his mother, Thildy Kaelin of South Lake Tahoe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Lloyd, Irene and Rick and Jeanette and Dooley, all of South Lake Tahoe; many nieces and nephews; and too many family and friends to mention.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow immediately at Happy Homestead Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward cancer research or a charity of choice.
