South Lake Tahoe mayor to host ‘let’s have a conversation’ outreach meetings

Following remarks made during her mayoral address in December, South Lake Tahoe Mayor Wendy David recently announced the beginning of monthly community outreach meetings.

Titled “let’s have a conversation,” the meetings aim to stimulate conversations among community members, according to a press release. The meetings will take place at coffee houses around South Lake Tahoe. The first one will take place 9 – 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Peet’s Coffee at 1040 Emerald Bay Road (inside of Raley’s at the Y).

Each month David will have a variety of special guests including councilmembers and people involved with various organizations in town. Mayor Pro Tem Tom Davis will join David for the first “let’s have a conversation.”

“If anyone knows me, I believe in collaboration. I am looking forward to working as a strong five member council and it’s a privilege to work with this council and with all city staff,” David said in the press release.
