Saturday – Douglas West, ceramics. Challenged by the complexity of integrating one form into another and carving patterns, West pushes clay as far as it can go. His background as a tool machinist helps him achieve forms and shapes that normally wouldn’t work. His style is intricate and precise, yet his creative process is organic. West strives to create a subtle warmth in each of the unique pieces of art that he creates.

Sunday – Judi and Larry Romiti, handweavers. The Romiti’s rug and tapestry design add a dynamic, bold, modern touch in working ancient motifs as well as original abstract and impressionistic creations. Each piece is a unique design, entirely original from the fleece to the finished product, heirloom quality, and the perfect addition to any home.

Saturday and Sunday – Jim Kass, photographer. Kass has been working in Lake Tahoe as a professional photographer for more than 20 years. Primarily a landscape photographer, who uses a 4-by-5 view camera in the traditional “West Coast Style,” the Kass exhibit will feature a collection of black and white photographs, as well as color photography. Kass’ photos have appeared in magazines, museums, and exhibitions and are privately collected worldwide.
