Meet the candidates

Three candidates are running for two seats on the Lake Tahoe Community College Board of Trustees in the Nov. 6 election.

Two are long-term incumbents: Frederick “Fritz” Wenck, who has been on the board since its formation in 1974; and Kenneth Rollston, who’s been on the board for 25 years. They are facing challenger Karen Borges.

The college board has five members, and terms are four years. Because incumbents have often run unopposed, this is the first time since 1989 that there has been an election.
