Staff reports

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The community is invited to come meet the Tribune’s new sports editor Douglas Etten.

A meet and greet with refreshments will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. today at the Tribune’s 3079 Harrison Ave. offices.

Etten joins the Tribune from Minocqua, Wis., where he was the sports editor at the The Lakeland Times. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

“Doug’s experience, leadership, commanding personality and passion for quality sports journalism made him the top pick in our search,” said Tribune Publisher Kimberly Kuntz. “We’re excited to have him join the team.”

Covering local athletics will be Etten’s top priority at the Tribune. He can be reached at detten@tahoedailytribune.com or 530-542-8010.
