Meeting today for erosion plans

Nearly $45 million is earmarked for 15 Lake Tahoe Basin erosion control and water management projects along U.S. Highway 50 and State Route 28. The Nevada Department of Transportation is asking for public input from residents whose property would be affected by the work.

“We need suggestions and public participation in these projects,” said Scott Magruder, public information officer for NDOT. “The meeting will also be very informational.”

Public comments are welcome at the meeting which is today at 5 p.m., at the Zephyr Cove Library, 233 Warrior Way, Zephyr Cove, Nev. Written comments can be submitted to Dennis Baughman, Hearings Officer, Nevada Department of Transportation, 1263 S. Stewart St., Carson City, Nev., 89712.
