Memorial Day services

Stella Van Dyke Johnson American Legion Post 795 will conduct Memorial Day services at 11 a.m. May 28 at Happy Homestead Cemetery.

In addition to the Legionnaires, Auxiliary Ladies and Sons of the Legion, there will be a representation from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps League, Naval Junior R.O.T.C., Boy Scouts of America and the South Lake Tahoe Police Department. Margo Osti will sing the “Star Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful.”

Everyone is invited to attend the services, which honor all veterans, whether on active duty, retired, deceased or missing in action. After the service cake and coffee will be served at Post 795, which is located at 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
