Mental health board members needed

The El Dorado County Mental Health Board South Lake Tahoe, which sits in an advisory capacity to the El Dorado Department of Mental Health, is taking applications for new board members. Board members are unpaid volunteers.

Anyone interested in the oversight of services for the seriously mentally ill of El Dorado County who would like to apply for a position on the board may contact Diana Hankins at (530) 577-4740. No one who works for the El Dorado County Mental Health Department or a contract provider of the Mental Health Department or is married to an employee of the department or its contract providers may be appointed to the mental health board. The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors approves appointments.
