Meyers mold report is negative

William Ferchland, Tahoe Daily Tribune

A report regarding possible mold at Meyers Elementary School came back negative, said Steve Morales, facilities director for Lake Tahoe Unified School District.

Three samples were analyzed by the Environmental Microbiology Laboratory in Daly City.

“The total spore count from the three samples were extremely low,” Morales said.

Hazard Management Services, an industrial hygienist company, authored the report.

“Whenever there is a reasonable likelihood that there might be mold present in an occupied space the district hires an independent agency to come out and test,” Morales said.
