Mickey Thomas plays for Kahle

Mickey Thomas and Starship on Aug. 8 will kick off the fund-raising for Phase III at Kahle Community Park, 236 Kingsbury Grade. This will be the fifth year the band has performed. They raised funds to build Phase II and this concert will help build the swimming pool.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and Cool Black Kettle will open for Starship at 5 p.m. Food and beverage concessions will be provided by the Tahoe-Douglas Rotary Club.

Admission is $10 in advance and $15 the day of the performance. Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge. Tickets are available at Kahle Community Center, Sessions Salon and the Tahoe-Douglas Chamber of Commerce.

Sponsors of the event include McCall Realty, Lake Tahoe Orthopedic, Lake Tahoe Surgery Center, Stateline Medical Center, Caesars Tahoe, Harrah’s, Harveys, Horizon, Lakeside Inn and KRLT.
