Mosaic demo at gallery
Artist Janice Powell Shedd will demonstrate mosaic techniques from 1 to 3 p.m. March 8 at the East Fork Gallery in Gardnerville.
Shedd will create a mosaic out of small pieces of stained glass and then show visitors the final steps of applying grout and a sealant to the project. On display will be several examples of mosaics made from sea glass, broken china and pottery.
The gallery invites the public to attend the demonstration and will serve light refreshments.
