Motorcyclist injured in Kingsburgy Grade collision

Tribune News Service

The Nevada Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses to an accident on Kingsbury Grade near the Exxon Station that resulted in severe injuries to a motorcyclist’s legs on Thursday afternoon.

Stateline resident Scott Levy, 46, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle up the grade about 3:45 p.m. following another vehicle that turned into the post office. Andrew Tang, 43, of San Francisco, was driving a Toyota Prius when he pulled out of the parking lot and didn’t see Levy, striking his motorcycle.

Tahoe Douglas medics transported Levy to a landing zone, where Care Flight helicopter picked him up. He was taken to Renown Medical Center.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Nevada Highway Patrol at 775-687-0400 and refer to case No. 120620110.

The accident was still under investigation and no citation had been issued as of Friday night.
