Mountain bike group to gather

The Tahoe Area Mountain Bike Association will conduct a general meeting at 6 p.m. Feb. 24 in the back room of Grand Central Pizza & Pasta Co. at Kings Center in South Lake Tahoe.

The meeting is open to members and anyone interested in mountain biking in the Lake Tahoe area. Items discussed will include an update from the Forest Service on the trail management plan, signage for Powerline Trail, wilderness update, looking at upcoming projects, and scheduling trail work days for 2003. They also will solicit input from people attending regarding issues or projects that TAMBA should look at. Pizza will be provided.

For further information call Dave Hamilton at (530) 577-1814 or e-mail him at DaveH@1stconnect.com.

Lake Tahoe is fast becoming a significant mountain bike destination with internationally known trails and some of the best riding in the country. TAMBA hopes to play a significant role in keeping Tahoe trails maintained and available for all mountain bikers.
