Mozart concert in Reno benefits Katrina victims

Musician, educator, and Mozart portrayer, Jackie Maye, and her guests, Linda Hardy and Art Johnson, will present a concert to benefit survivors of Hurricane Katrina on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m., in the Great Room at the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship, 780 Del Monte Lane, Reno.

Suggested donation is $10, payable at the door.

Maye said, “Fill your heart and soul with the live, beautiful music of Mozart and others and have the rest of the day to enjoy. Half the donations will stay in Reno to assist our new friends from the Gulf Coast. The other half will be sent to New Orleans to help Unitarian-Universalists assist those in need.”

This concert follows Maye’s successful “Mozart and Friends” benefit for hurricane survivors held last Saturday at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall in Carson City.
