ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. – On April 9, 2011, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle (portrayed by Library Services Coordinator Carol Nageotte) made an appearance at the Douglas County Public Library, Zephyr Cove Branch, to celebrate National Library Week. Mrs. Piggle Wiggle stories were first introduced in 1947 by Betty MacDonald. Children love Mrs. Piggle Wiggle for her upside-down house, her delicious cookies, and her ability to understand just how they feel. Parents love her because she knows how to cure any bad habit. Cures for Never-Want-To-Go-To-Bedders, the Selfishness Cure, the Radish Cure and Crybaby Tonic all result in hilarious advice.
