MS Walk to take place at Camp Richardson
The Southern California & Nevada Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will hold its annual Walk MS event Saturday at Camp Richardson.
Walk MS is a rallying point of the MS movement, a community coming together to raise funds and celebrate hope for the future, a press release stated. Organizers expect more than 200 walkers to help raise the goal of $30,000. Money raised at Walk MS will support direct services for the nearly 1,500 people with MS and their families in Northern Nevada, including Lake Tahoe. Funds raised also support MS research worldwide.
People can participate in Walk MS individually or as a team. The route goes through the Tallac Forest. Volunteers are also needed.
The walk begins at 8 a.m. at Camp Richardson, 1900 Jameson Road in South Lake Tahoe. For information or to register, visit http://walkcal.nationalmssociety.org.
